Good luck, Valynne! I am interested to know if you get the price you are asking. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone.
Thanks, Amy! Lots of interest…fingers crossed. Of course I think MGO is worth a lot more than that, but they are going by numbers (not my stong area, shall we say).
So, for all of you people out there looking at the financials and scratching your heads – just double ’em, as I’m pretty sure I gave away more product than I actually sold 😉
I’ll be interested to see what happens too! I need to order soaps soon or buy some downtown. I think I’d put myself in the running to buy the whole biz, but Adam and I are trying to save up money to pay down debt and so it’s not the best time for me to be getting a small business loan. I know it will fall into good hands though!
Heather, I think the only shop that has not sold out of soaps is Mountain Man (Downtown Evergreen). Jeannie ordered a ton, knowing that it might be my last hurrah.
Hoping someone buys MGO soon enough to hit the busy season! You would be the perfect Mountain Girl, but I know all about paying down debt. If I win the lottery or something equally outrageous, I will give it to you, how’s that? : )
Funny, it was just a year ago we were camped out at Patty’s selling our products, Easter weekend anyway. Simon also proposed that weekend! 🙂
Good luck with the sale! Wish I had the energy to take it on, it seems like more fun than dog biscuits.
Wow – what a difference a year makes, eh? Missing you, who made the markets that much more fun…
Hope your baby finds a new mama or daddy soon. Such great products! Someone will be hitting the jackpot : )
That is how I feel about it, Kim – three plus years of nurturing! I enjoyed the creative process – now my baby needs someone who enjoys the business end…
I still think that MGO could go “big time” and make a ton of money. It is the best all natural bath and beauty product on the market that I’ve ever found. I had several wedding guests tell me that your product was the only one that solved long-term dry skin problems. I told you that I scooped up the last body whip at Le Boudoir and I”m rationing it. How long will it last…..at least 24 months I hope!!!!! Once this economy really changes I think MGO will sell like crazy in places like Aspen, Vail, Telluride….etc….all the wealthy high-end resort towns.
Thanks, Catherine – you have been such a strong supporter from Day One and I love you for it. Now stop it before I take MGO off the market!
I am just sad that I did not get the opportunity to bring MGO products into Bella Vita! :0( I often have customers looking for products specifically made in Colorado and how much more wonderful would it be to be able to offer them fabulous products made right in our own town too!! I do send those folks downtown to specifically find your MGO goodies and just get sad that I can’t offer it to them myself. Hoping though that just the right person will scoop up MGO and take it forward keeping the wonderful products, quality, and integrity of MGO that you did Valynne. Still wish you were heading it up as I would absolutely LOVE to work with you, but at least I still get to stay in touch with you in these fun techie ways! :0)
Michele, MGO would be a perfect fit for your lovely shop – my products sold quite well at Bear Creek Marketplace, which was just a stones throw away from your place. You have the ideal shop for MGO products!
Thank you for sending people downtown but I am really hoping that the new owner talks to you about becoming a wholesale account…now is the perfect time to get it going again so fingers crossed someone acts soon!
Will keep you posted – so far there has been lots of interest/questions but no concrete offers. Can’t wait to see what happens with it. If it doesn’t sell, part of me will be a little relieved. It definitely has a future…question is, with who?
Can’t wait to be back in CO, visiting all of our favorite friends and places again. You and Bella Vita are definitely on that list! XOX
