It is true, what they say about Portland, Oregon. Foodgasmic. Most of the places pictured below are walking distance from the house. I have mentioned a few of our favorite eateries in recent posts, and have so many pics that I figured a gallery format was in order….just click on any picture that you would like to enlarge, and click the arrow to the right to see more. If you are familiar with Portland’s food scene, please let us know your favorites as well. Cheers!

The Salt & Straw ice creams look great! Was that a summer photo, or just a nice day?
Salt and Straw had a cart on Alberta Street until they opened a brick and mortar last fall. The picture with the lines out the door was taken soon after they opened. I can pretty much take or leave most ice cream (store brands are laden with chemicals now), but Salt & Straw is a serious temptation. This business is doing incredibly well ~ there were lines like this throughout the winter…people standing in the rain, waiting for their ice cream! Check out their website, Gary ~ I think you will be impressed! http://saltandstraw.com/
Good Lord Woman!!! You have been busy! Beautiful photos and some good weather captured at the Saturday Market. xo
In our defense, these pictures have been taken over the past several months…we have been eating in more than ever, thanks to the co-op and New Seasons within walking distance. Still, everything is at our fingertips here (as you know). When we do go out, I am doing my best to order smart and keep the “treats” to a minimum : )
My daughter would be in heaven in Portland. I must bring her as well.
Don”t you get fat there, better walk to a gym.
HA! It is so easy to overdo it here – quite the foodie scene. You are just going to have to experience it for yourselves. It is a photographer’s dream, as well!
