Today I would like to sincerely thank you all for following us over from the old blog addy to this new one. There is much to learn here in Blogsville and I would be in trouble without my trusty WordPress for Dummies book along with the expertise of E. Webscapes) so BIG thanks to Lisa Sabin-Wilson and staff as well!
Please feel free to click on the new social media links above (cool, eh?) and subscribe and all of that good stuff, so we can keep in touch from wherever the road takes us. I do love WordPress…
Our time in P-town seems so far away now, yet it was only last month. Obviously we like the place as this is my fourth post dedicated to it. I want to share with you a few more pictures, some of the West End (which was at one time where most of the fishermen and sailors lived), and a couple from Halloween (I will keep them PG, promise : )
These were all taken on the West End; beautiful, isn’t it? I’ve got so many more to share, but I think that is what Flickr is for. I think that is 4 or 5 down on my project list. If anyone has a favorite photo sharing site, please share.
Right. Now I am going to take you back to Commercial Street, where (mostly) all the excitement is…
OK, I think I’d better leave it at that. What a fun and funky town! I know, I know – we’ve been in Tennessee for weeks now…time to move on, as they say. I will be posting some Signal Mountain pics in the next couple of days, along with announcing some new goals for the month (yikes!) and announcing the latest prize winner (leave a comment before December 1 to enter) so do stay tuned, won’t you?
I like the poodle at the OC….and, of course, Cesar is fetching as the Hulk….funny…..
my comment is “awaiting moderation”????? first of all, it was quite tame but I’m afraid I’m not willing to submit my comments to “moderation”….
Tee hee David – give me time to figure all of this technology stuff out – I am hardly one to moderate comments, you know ; )
I might have a teensy tiny crush on Cesar (don’t tell Paul). Wish I had taken the pic before he had sweat half the green off! OMG that dog was so adorable (now I am talking about the poodle, not the bartender). Actually, I have a bunch more pics – will put them on facebook. I have a couple hilarious Halloween shots but don’t want to push it – might be a bit much for the young’uns!
It’s so nice and cozy in here, what a warm feeling. Well done!!
Oh, thank you, Christine…I feel like I am slowly but surely getting to where I want to be here in Cyberland. It doesn’t come naturally so I feel like I am figuring everything out the hard way! Miss you, Mamma!
PS I can’t take credit for most of this – Lisa came up with the logo, transfered the blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, designed the social media links and background, etc, etc. Even so, I am learning a lot. Can’t wait to get my Mac – so frustrated without a working laptop! I have big plans, Christine…BIG plans! XOX
I am now reassured so I can tell you how much i am enjoying your blog and how envious I am that you have mastered so much technology already!!
Hello!
I came across your Blog with a google search while working on advertising my business.
I am the owner of A Happy Pet – a professional petsitting/walking business based in Ptown (we do go up to Eastham). I would love to learn more info about what you do.. Do you caretake in any homes with pets? Do you do so for a fee? I charge by the night, but occasionally I have a client who is going on month long trips and need someone to ‘live’ in their home. I do offer this specific service, but 30 days is very expensive.
Please feel free to contact me by email, tinaxbrown@hotmail.com
or by phone (774) 487 7294. My website is, http://www.ahappypet.web.officelive.com
I read your blog about woman’s week, and really enjoyed it. I’ve lived
here my entire life and never knew their was a Cultural Center!?!
PS That heart stone is my house – small world!
Best,
Tina
Tina, I can’t believe that the heart stone is YOUR HOUSE! What are the odds? I was so in love with the heart that I am spacing out what your house looks like – but what a lovely neighborhood to live in.
We do caretake in homes with pets, and the fee depends on the hours of work involved per day along with the length of the sit. In other words, each sit is a bit different.
Because we have sold the house and most of our belongings we are able to be a bit more flexible than most. If the sit is long term we can typically do it as an equal exchange, which is great for both parties.
Occasionally, extra services are required (like bill paying, landscape maintenance, running errands, answering phones and relaying messages, etc). Those services we have to charge for, as we both work full time and our down time is very important to us.
Thank you so much for commenting here…I will definitely check out your website and be in touch. We would love to have the opportunity to spend more time in P-town. If I hear of any local sit opportunities in the meantime, I will definitely send them your way!
Happy Holidays to you, Tina.
