This is a new kind of holiday season for us, and not just because of the move. A year ago, I was creating and selling my natural bath and body products with fervor while Paul worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
A year later (i.e. now), Laurie has made and delivered the last of the wholesale orders to my Colorado shops for me (thank you Laurie). The Mountain Girl Organics online shop is officially closed for the winter and I have just enough product left over to share with a few new neighbors and friends.
Sitting here post-blizzard with the Greyhounds by the fire feels so comfy, wistfulness notwithstanding. I’ve got a few things to figure out. In the meantime, a quiet Christmas…
I heard about the storm and wondered how you fared out there on the cape…. the coast gets hit hard sometimes. I still get wistful too, just thinking of the New England coast sometimes…. I will have a quiet Christmas here too, and will think of you in front of your fire while I sit here in front of mine…. Sending you both loving thoughts and warmest wishes for a glorious New Year….
You too, Denise. The blizzard dumped two feet of snow over night. We have a couple more warmish days until our next freeze, so we should be thawed out and ready for more by then : ) In the meantime, I’ve got my new books to read (thank you Paul and Emily), resolutions to write and the boys to watch over. I am doing my best to focus on little else this Christmas weekend, aside from the occasional movie/CD. Hope you are enjoying this time as much as I am – here’s to 2010!
What more could you ask for during the holiday season? A fire and comfy couch time with the dogs sounds perfect to me. Throw in a chicken who likes to watch holiday movie and I’m all set. Glad you are taking your time to figure things out. xoxo
Can’t wait to talk to you tomorrow, Em! Happy Christmas Weekend (sans flu, I hope)to you and Mike : )
I ♥ THIS PHOTO.

Ski Country Antiques let me use just about whatever I wanted as props – what a treat that was…Hugs to you too : )
